Nesianetwork.id - Longkeyang, July 22, 2024 – The KKN Team II from Diponegoro University recently conducted a workshop on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) at ND Snack UMKM. Held on July 22, the event aimed to raise awareness and improve the implementation of OHS standards in the workplace, as well as provide essential safety equipment to ensure secure production processes.
The event began with a session on OHS education, covering various aspects of workplace safety and health. The KKN team highlighted the importance of adhering to OHS standards to prevent workplace accidents and maintain employee well-being. Topics included risk identification, evacuation procedures, the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling of hazardous materials.
Following the theoretical session, practical training was provided on the use of PPE. The KKN team demonstrated the correct use of masks, gloves, and eye and ear protection, and also shared techniques for preventing injuries in the workplace.
As part of the event, the KKN team also distributed various safety equipment to ND Snack UMKM, including masks, gloves, and eye protection. This equipment is intended to enhance safety and comfort for the employees.
With this training, it is hoped that ND Snack UMKM will place greater emphasis on OHS practices, reducing the risk of accidents and health issues in the workplace. This initiative reflects the commitment of Diponegoro University's KKN Team II to support UMKM development by implementing better and safer work standards.
